Sometimes all you need is a vegan double layer chocolate fudge cake, especially when it is gluten free and nut free. When you think of vegan and organic food in Los Angeles, one of the spots that comes to mind is Real Food Daily. Real Food Daily has been serving up delicious vegan food for over 20 years. So when my friend Bethy wanted to try some vegan food, we went over their West Hollywood location and ordered up a storm.
The first thing we ordered were the vegan nachos. Loaded and topped with juts about everything you could imagine, we dove right in quickly. One of the first things she noticed is the sour cream. It is delicious and tastes just like a dairy sour cream. The beans also had a smokey flavor, which complemented the nachos nicely.
Next up was the BLT sandwich with avocado. When ordering a vegan BLT, the true test is the bacon. The bacon will really make or break the sandwich. The sandwich was stacked high and Bethy needed to figure out her plan of attack. The bacon was crispy and cooked to perfection and gave the sandwich a great flavor.
Finally, we ordered dessert and we picked a winner. The vegan double layer chocolate fudge cake. Now keep in mind, this vegan double layer chocolate fudge cake is also gluten free and nut free. The cake is huge! We flipped it over on it’s side just to take a bite. As Bethy said “standing up cake is for suckers”. This vegan double layer chocolate fudge cake was delicious and stole the show.
Overall, Bethy had a great experience at Real Food Daily. She enjoyed everything she had. Her favorite thing was not hard to guess, the vegan double layer chocolate fudge cake. No matter how good the nachos and BLT is, it’s hard to compete with a vegan double layer chocolate fudge cake. A job well done at Real Food Daily!
