It’s back to school time! As the summer draws to an end and fall approaches, students all over the country are heading back to school. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned, back to school veteran and finishing up college or you’re a parent with a little one just starting their journey, the process is usually the same. Which means it’s time to rise and shine and make sure everyone is up and ready to leave the house. Unfortunately, after hitting the snooze button a couple times, we are often running late and the thought of making breakfast before we leave the house is often crossed off the to do list before the day has even started. One of the best ways to overcome this dilemma is to throw together a delicious and healthy smoothie that tastes great, is easy to make and also portable. Your whole family can simply grab the smoothie with one hand as they leave the house. Another benefit of making a smoothie for breakfast, is that you can now spend a little more time with your child and/or loved ones. You all can share in the blending process as you create new and exciting flavors. I can speak from experience that on most days, I simply open up the freezer and refrigerator to see what ingredients I have for my smoothie that morning. Plus, don’t forget to check the pantry to make sure you add some superfoods to the smoothie that can take it to the next level! Now every member of the family can leave the house knowing they have a delicious breakfast in their hand to help kick start their day. A little insider bonus I wanted to share with is that sometimes I make some extra smoothies in the morning and throw them in a cooler to stay cold. Now I have a healthy and great tasting treat during the day. Just in case you need a little pick me up!
